Zoom is an alternative media player for any PCs that operate under Windows. In addition, unlike other standard media players, it is a 2-in-1 application, with many different options to take advantage of.

Easy to use with a lot of features

If users want a playback experience with more to choose from and operate with, they can easily find just that by using Zoom Player.

Zoom Player is a composition of two different players. One, a simple-to-use media player and the other an advanced version with adjustable customizations and options. This unique player makes up for anything other media players lack. For users who prefer a more simple media player, there is a VLC software available. However, Zoom Player can operate just as well with some extra features if needed.

A Few Limited Features with Free Version

When users download Zoom Player, they can expect to find a graphic equalizer and a playlist editor, as well as other standard features that would normally come with a media player. Its professional (full) version, however, comes with a more advanced playlist editor, additional safety features (like password protection), and even a web remote that allows users to control their Zoom Player right from their Web browser. Zoom Player also has an extended command line interface, which allows the program's full version to support DRM-protected movie and music playback.

Zoom Player's interface is expandable. But if users click on the circle of dots that's displayed on the bottom right-hand corner, they'll find a variety of features at the main screen. However, the icons used are not exactly self-explanatory. Therefore, users will have to figure it out for themselves by a process of trial and error. Features displayed on the main screen include its own station manager, which is for streaming radio and television, a skin changer for a more personalized look, and an editor for the media library for easy organization.

Users who desire a more basic playback application might find the advanced Zoom Player a bit intimidating. Because of the amount of options it contains, it takes time to fully understand exactly what is offered and how to use it.

Probably the most annoying feature is the application's placement of its features. The advanced options for Zoom Player are spread out and can be somewhat overwhelming to determine where everything is.

On the other hand, Zoom Player has a feature that is particularly useful, which is its capability to inform users of the codec needed to be installed if there is not one installed already. Smooth playback and quick-loading files make it a hassle-free experience.

Great 2-in-1 Player

Zoom Player is a 2-in-1 application, allowing users to choose from a basic player and an advanced one, offering different options that will most likely never be needed, but something that will still appeal to users.
